2018 Halloween Recap
When you’re a parent, the holidays are extra special because you get to experience the excitement of the holidays through your children’s eyes. Seeing your children this happy brings a parent so much joy, it’s indescribable.
When Sofia turned 3, she understood the concept of Halloween, so we’ve allowed her to choose what she wants to dress up as since then. Early this year with much enthusiasm decided she wanted to be Vampirina. I thought, “hmmm, last year she wanted to be Princess Poppy from Trolls” she’s pink from head to toe, and of course, we willingly agreed. We painted her hair and face pink! Vampirina is purple! I think Sofia is on to something. She’s fully aware Halloween is once a year, so she picks the most elaborate costumes. Even though I know that removing the makeup takes longer than putting it on, it’s still worth it. Everlee dressed as a little lamb, but everyone assumed she was a bunny. I went along with it because she did look like a bunny!
Since moving to Las Vegas, one of the perks is being close to family. This year, we were able to go “trick or treating” with Sofia and Everlee’s cousins. For once, Sofia had a friend to run door-to-door with, and it was the cutest thing ever. Everlee is still too young, so she sat in the wagon and Sofia and her cousin collected candy for her. How sweet of them!
It was a lot easier this year; it wasn’t 30 degrees! We’re used to layering and bringing loads of blankets to the point the person at the door isn’t quite sure what your costume is. It was refreshing not to be freezing this year. I enjoyed seeing everyone’s costumes, and I can’t wait to see what the girls pick for next year! Here are some throwbacks of Sofia’s costumes over the years!
2018 Halloween Recap
The cutest cat you've ever seen! This year, we passed out candy because Sofia was only 9 months old.
Sofia's second Halloween as a little lamb. Everlee wore this costume this year and everyone thought she looked like a bunny!
My little bee.
This year, Sofia wanted to be Princess Poppy from Trolls but we couldn't find a costume that looked like the character clothes. So, Sofia's Auntie K made her costume for her.
This photo is my favorite! Sofia looks so happy as Vampirina!
